His secret is: “You can’t learn a language, you can only train yourself in it...”
I think language-learning is something pragmatic. You can talk about it in theory, it’s really interesting, the way the brain works, but I also believe it’s very good to show directly to people how to do things.
The master class is going to be all about that, meaning I’m going to teach people – or, rather, train people, which is a better term, how to use bilingual texts, monolingual texts, as well as my technique in order to grasp what I call a phonetic fabric of a language.
So, my master class is going to be about pronunciation and, above all, intonation.
I train people in six languages, but in general you need just one language to show how it works – it’s pretty universal.
Every language has a different phonetic fabric, but some principles are universal. So if you learn how to apply this technique to one language, you can apply it to any other.

The importance of intonation and the role of intonation in successful communication

PART II (2 hours)

Forgetting curve (GRAPH) and the brain
Dealing with words in and out of context

Started to teach his daughter languages from her birth; by the age of four she could already speak Macedonian, English and French, now, at the age of five, she also knows German and Spanish and is currently learning Chinese.
The training session will talk about language learning and how to best do it. We will discuss what the key factors for successful language learning are, with a focus on support for child language learning. The themes and discussions would be useful for parents and teachers, but the content is also valid for adult learners, wishing to learn different languages and those interested in the process.

Choices available when raising a child with more than one language
Cultural considerations and dealing with the challenges
Finding help to raise a multilingual child
Dealing with reading, writing and speaking
The question of accent
